Outdoor bootcamp in London
A real outdoor bootcamp in south east London, running since 2013. Coached group sessions in a park in Canada Water and at a rugby club in Bromley, for people who aren’t athletes and have no intention of becoming one.
Where the sessions actually are
Plenty of sites will tell you they run bootcamps across London. We run in two places, both in south east London, and we would rather be straight about it, because a session forty minutes away is a session you’ll stop going to.
If you have been searching for fitness bootcamps in London and found mostly residential weight loss camps or one-week retreats, this isn’t that. It’s a weekly outdoor bootcamp you fit around a job, in a park you can walk to.
Canada Water, SE16
Stave Hill Ecological Park on Dock Hill Avenue, ten minutes on foot from Canada Water station on the Jubilee line and the Overground. Handy for Rotherhithe, Surrey Quays, Bermondsey and Deptford.
Bromley, BR2
Park House Rugby Club on Barnet Wood Road, with parking on site. Mornings and evenings across the week, covering Bromley, Hayes, Keston and Orpington.
Not that kind of boot camp
The words boot camp cover a lot of ground in London, from residential weight loss camps to military-style sessions in Hyde Park. Worth clearing up what this is and is not.
Nobody shouts at you
There’s no military theming, no press-ups as punishment and no drill sergeant. Coaches correct technique and get to know your name. Most members are in their thirties, forties and fifties, and a fair few are past sixty.
Every exercise has a version that fits you
Sessions are mixed ability by design. Somebody in their first fortnight trains next to somebody who has been coming for eight years, and both get a session that suits them.
It runs all year, in whatever the weather does
Outdoors in January as well as June. It’s a lot less grim than it sounds, and the members who started in autumn are usually the ones who tell you that.
It’s a membership, not a course
You’re not buying six weeks and then being sold the next six. Training, nutrition support, mindset coaching and the community events are all part of it. See how it works.
What it costs
Memberships work out from £9 a session depending on how often you train, which is a lot less than paying for a personal trainer. Start with the Trial Experience rather than committing on the strength of a website.
If neither venue is an easy trip, message us anyway. We would rather point you at something closer to home than sell you a membership you won’t use.
Start with a phone call
Sessions run at Stave Hill in Canada Water and at two rugby clubs in Bromley, from £9 a session. Ring or WhatsApp us and we’ll talk it through, then book you in for the Trial Experience: four sessions over two weeks for £39.
